Delegates Assembly: 2026 Position Statements for Voting
NAEA’s position statements relate to national issues or topics of interest to the profession and/or field of visual arts education and advances the mission of the organization. All position statements are on a review cycle. Once a position statement is adopted, it goes through a preliminary three year review and then every subsequent five years. These timely reviews assists NAEA in maintaining statements that are relevant to the current field of art education.
NAEA Delegates Assembly will vote to approve revisions of adopted statements, approval of new statements, and new this year, the reclassification of statements to be designated as “Standing Statements.” Standing Statements will still be considered relevant, but are no longer part of the regular review cycle.
