Plans Underway for Virtual Webinars to Replace Arts Action Summit Briefings 2020

Washington, DC

The Arts Action Summit scheduled for March 30-31, 2020 has been cancelled. NAEA President Thomas Knab, Vice-President James Rolling, Jr., Past President Kim Defibaugh, Executive Director Mario R. Rossero, and Policy & Legislative Liaison Kathi R. Levin had planned to attend this annual arts and arts education advocacy event. The event was cancelled due to the coronavirus which also closed the Capitol Building to the public.

Americans for the Arts and the national partners, including NAEA, are planning a series of webinars in April/May to provide briefings on key issues. Kathi Levin, who represents NAEA on the Arts Summit Legislative Planning Committee, will be one of the presenters of material about arts education policy again this year.

The materials below provide the context for advocates to address these issues at the Federal, State, and local levels throughout the year. Updates regarding the scheduling of the webinars will be posted here when the dates and times are finalized.
