2023 NAEA ED&I Commission Nominating Committee

The NAEA ED&I Commission works in concert with the NAEA Board of Directors, state association affiliates, and members to respond to previously unaddressed and newly emerging issues to advance NAEA’s ED&I recommendations (developed by the ED&I Task Force), and to fully realize this work.

The Nominating Committee carefully and collectively reviews all nominees for the NAEA ED&I Commission to select candidates for each upcoming elected position. Commissioners are then chosen from this slate of candidates by a Review Committee made up of ED&I Commissioners.

A Nominating Committee member must:

• Be a current member of NAEA.
• Possess reasonable knowledge of the workings and structure of the ED&I Commission.
• Have the ability to confidently and clearly express their opinion regarding potential candidates.
• Be willing to consider others’ opinions regarding potential - Possess a clear understanding of why they would like to serve on this committee, as well as what they would bring to the Nominating Committee.
• Support NAEA’s purpose and goals relating to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

If you plan to submit your nomination for the elected position, please do not apply to be on the Nominating Committee.

The 2023–2024 Nominating Committee will immediately work to fill the vacant position of Associate Chair on the current Commission, as well as identify candidates for the next Commissioner cycle in 2024.
