NAEA News Summer 2025: Change Is in the Air

NAEA News - Summer 2025 coverA message from NAEA President Cindy Todd:

At the very moment I stepped into my position as NAEA President, our Executive Director, Mario Rossero, stepped into his new role at the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh. Mario was a much loved, dynamic leader for NAEA. His work with us led the organization though unprecedented times with COVID, he facilitated the development of our tremendous ED&I Hub of resources, he sparked onstage at every Convention, and he made both staff and members feel seen, heard, and welcomed. Although it is daunting to envision leading without his guidance and insight, he has developed an incredibly competent staff who have demonstrated that they are ready to take the reins during the interim as we conduct a national search for our next Executive Director.

It will be challenging for any one person to walk in— let alone fill—Mario’s shoes, but the search for a new leader is exciting and presents new opportunities for our Association, especially as we begin developing our next chapter. Though the next steps in our journey are uncharted, and the success and challenges that lie ahead are yet undefined, one thing remains certain—we are stronger when we are united, and we will walk this road together, making our collective voices heard in the name of arts education and the learners we serve.  (Read the full message in the latest issue of NAEA News)
