NAHS “Art for All” Advocacy Design Competition   

Encourage your NAHS and NJAHS students to make their voices heard through art! NAEA is inviting student submissions for an “Art for All” advocacy design. The winning design will be featured on official NAEA merchandise, available for purchase at the 2026 NAEA National Convention in Chicago and online. This is a meaningful opportunity for students to contribute to national art advocacy efforts while showcasing their creative talent.   

Overview:

The National Art Education Association (NAEA) invites all National Art Honor Society (NAHS) and National Junior Art Honor Society (NJAHS) students to participate in the “Art for All” Advocacy Design Competition! This is a unique opportunity for student artists to use their creativity and voice to support and promote art education on a national level. 

Objective:

Design a compelling and original design that reflects the theme “Art for All”—celebrating the power of visual arts to inspire, connect, and advocate for access to arts education for every student, everywhere. 

Winning Design Will Be: 

  • Featured on official NAEA merchandise 
  • Sold at the NAEA26 Convention in Chicago and through the NAEA online store 
  • A part of national art advocacy efforts, reaching a broad and influential audience 

Design Guidelines: 

  • Design must include the words “Art for All” and clearly reflect the theme. 
  • Ensure the design is versatile and scalable for print, digital, and merchandise use. 
  • Must be student-created (no AI or copyrighted images). 
  • Use 1–4 solid colors (no shading or gradients). 
  • Keep it simple and bold—less is more. 

Submission Requirements: 

  • Open to current NAHS/NJAHS members (2025–2026 school year). 
  • Submit a high-resolution digital file (PNG, or JPG). 
  • Include a brief explanation of the design concept. 

Winning Design Recognition & Awards: 

  • The final design will be revealed at the 2026 NAEA National Convention in Chicago, IL (March 2026). 
  • The winning student will receive official NAEA merchandise featuring their design. 
  • The student designer, their design, and their chapter sponsor will be recognized on the National Art Honor Societies website and NAEA social media platforms. 
  • The design and student will also be featured in NAHS News and NAEA News. 

How to Submit: 

All artwork must be submitted by a registered NAHS/NJAHS Chapter Sponsor. Sponsors may submit an unlimited number of entries, one submission per student. Upload each design and concept explanation via this online form. Submissions must include the student’s name, contact information, school, chapter sponsor’s name, and email address. Please note that professional designers may be used to refine the winning design for use across print and digital platforms.
