2018 NAEA National Leadership Conference
July 23-26, 2018 | Charleston, South Carolina
The National Leadership Conference will be held in the Southeastern Region, July 23-26, 2018, in Charleston, South Carolina. The purpose of the National Leadership Conference is to support and enhance the effectiveness of experienced, new, and aspiring art education leaders. The 2018 program has been designed in direct response to the timely interests and needs expressed by you and other NAEA state leaders; time and space have been designated for regional meetings as well as for small group meetings with other state association leaders whose organizations are similar in size and share many of the same challenges. Regional Leadership Conferences are held in odd numbered years. The National Leadership Conferences are held in even numbered years.

November 2-3, 2018; Alabama Art Education Association Fall Conference, AAEA Fall Conference 2018, Tuscaloosa, AL. Chairperson: Natalie Roig McKnight, firstname.lastname@example.org

November 1-3, 2018; GAEA 2018 Fall Conference. Theme: Brainstorm, Collaboration and Idea Generation, Jekyll Island, Georgia. Keynote Speaker: Nathalie Miebach.
April 6-7, 2018; MAEA 2018 Spring Conference, Biloxi, MS. Friday evening there will be a tour at the Walter Anderson Museum followed by dinner. Saturday teachers will participate in coil portrait and raku firing workshops at the Ohr-Okeefe Museum.
November 8-10, 2018; MAEA Fall Conference: “Creating Outside the Lines”, Jackson, MS. Thursday will be all day studio concentrations in glass, ceramics, mixed-media, and print making. Friday sessions will be held at the Mississippi Museum of Art. Saturday sessions are at Clinton High School. The keynote speaker will be Rick Anderson.

Western Region: The Missouri Art Education Association, led by Tina Hyde, will host the 2019 Western Region Summer Leadership Meeting, June 19-22, 2019 in Kansas City, MO. Accommodations will be available at the Marriott Country Club Plaza.
