Since NAEA’s founding by members, for members, in 1947, NAEA has provided a vibrant professional community where the best and the brightest minds, impassioned art educators and innovators, researchers and scholars, teaching artists, and leaders, have gathered. Through the collective voice of the NAEA community, goals and priorities are advanced that nurture and grow NAEA’s mission-based work under the five goals identified in the 2015–2020 Strategic Vision: Community; Advocacy; Learning; Research and Knowledge; and Organizational Vibrancy.

Proposal Form and Review Criteria:
Informed by member voices and an analysis of National Convention evaluations and processes, an Ad Hoc Committee was appointed to study the NAEA National Convention proposal submission and review process in its entirety. The Review Criteria has been piloted and revised and all reviewers participate in an instructional session to ensure consistency across the process. In preparation for submitting your proposal, you are encouraged to carefully review the Submission Guidelines
