NAEA Art Educator Scholarship Fund

The NAEA Art Educator Scholarship Fund supports art educators seeking further professional learning opportunities through the many programs and events offered by NAEA.

The scholarship award serves to support innovative leaders in art education and allow access to further development to support their work as art educators. Recipients of the award will receive a scholarship that covers their participation in the [VIRTUAL] 2021 NAEA National Convention. Scholarships are open to all current members.

NAEA offers three scholarship opportunities:

  • Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) Scholarships
The NAEA ED&I Commission is piloting a scholarship opportunity designed to increase equity, diversity, and inclusion in the field of visual arts and design education and remove barriers to access for underserved and underrepresented individuals. The scholarship award will cover the registration fee for the [VIRTUAL] 2021 NAEA National Convention and one year of membership to NAEA (not to be combined with state association membership). Open to all visual arts and design educators, up to 20 individuals will be selected, with a priority focus on first-time NAEA National Convention participants and Preservice educators.

  • First-Time Attendee Scholarships
This scholarship is designed to support visual art educators that are first-time attendees of an NAEA National Convention. Ten First-Time Attendee Scholarships are awarded.

  • Art Educator Scholarships
This scholarship is designed to support visual art educators in their path of continued professional learning. Ten scholarships are awarded.
