The NAEA25 Digital Playground is an immersive digital learning space taking place in the Exhibit Hall at the 2025 NAEA National Convention in Louisville, KY, March 20–22. A hub for exploring innovative technology in art education, promoting collaboration, and inspiring artistic expression, the Digital Playground seeks to empower art educators by integrating technology, creativity, and education.

NAEA invites members to submit presentations for Educator-Led Table Sessions that will take place in the Digital Playground alongside live tech demos and main-stage presentations presented by Digital Playground sponsors.

Call Details:

Educator-Led Table Sessions are 50-minute sessions held at table stations within the Digital Playground space in the NAEA25 Exhibit Hall. Participants will be walking up to learn about technology-based techniques or lesson plan demonstrations.

There are no limits to what you can present—but remember, it should be based in technology. Sessions from previous years have included hands-on Procreate lessons for secondary students, Adobe Express for all age levels, virtual reality creativity with VR googles, Canva for the classroom, generative AI, and more.

  • Educator-Led Table Sessions are 50-minute participant walk-up technology-based techniques or lesson plan demonstrations
  • NAEA membership is REQUIRED for all presenters and co-presenters
  • Presentations may have one main presenter and up to two co-presenters
  • Presenters must provide their own tablet or laptop and necessary cords to connect to the display monitors within the - Digital Playground, as well as any additional equipment necessary beyond monitors. (Note: Equipment must be easily transported, set up, and removed.) Sessions will be scheduled during Exhibit Hall hours: Thursday, March 20: 11:00am–3:00pm; Friday, March 21: 11:00am–3:00pm: Saturday, March 22: 11:00am–2:30pm

Proposal Submissions Must Include:

  • Session Title (10-word limit)
  • Statement of Purpose (100-word limit)
  • Brief Presentation Description (50-word limit) If selected, this will be used to promote your session
  • Presenter and co-presenter information
