Mixed Methods Working Group (MMWG)

The Mixed Methods Working Group (MMWG) encourages and supports research designs, methodologies and strategies that help art educators better understand the what and the why in their areas of interest. From P-12 Teaching and Learning to STEAM, Studio Practice, Museum Education, Social Justice or any other area of interest, mixed methods provides an expanded means of examining our diverse practices–one that is widely used in other fields but not in Art Education. The Mixed Methods Working Group shows how using qualitative and quantitative methods, quasi-experimental designs, collaboration, and replicating existing studies strengthens our research, positioning us for increased research funding and more effective advocacy.

The MMWG is actively recruiting new members. For information about joining the group, contact Raymond Veon, Chair, at raymond.veon@usu.edu.
