Art Education Journal
The official journal of the National Art Education Association.
Art Education covers diverse topics of professional interest to arts educators and those interested in quality visual arts education. Published six times per year in print and digital formats, each issue of Art Education features an editorial, at least five peer-reviewed articles, and an instructional resource that can be applied in an arts classroom, studio, or program. A subscription to Art Education (print and digital) is included with each NAEA membership.


Digital Access to Art Education
You must be a member of NAEA to view digital and archived issues of Art Education. Submit an Article to Art Education
Both NAEA members and non-members are eligible to submit articles for potential publication in Art Education. For specific submission guidelines and information, please follow the specific instructions for authors outlined by Taylor & Francis.

This special issue of Art Education seeks to establish an art educational space where art educators, artists, scholars, and community organizers can center decolonial, Indigenous philosophies and practices around place-making and eco-based art education.

NAEA Subscription Claims Policy

Note: You must claim for a missing issue within six months of that issue’s delivery date.* Please include the full title of the journal missing, with the year, volume, and issue number. Also, include your full name, address, and NAEA Member ID / account / order number, if applicable.
- For NAEA members and subscribers within the United States, please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery before submitting a claim for missing issues and all claims must be made within six months of the delivery date for that issue.*
- For international members and subscribers outside of the U.S., please allow 8-12 weeks for delivery before submitting a claim for missing issues and all claims must be made within six months of the delivery date for that issue.*

NAEA’s publisher is unable to honor claims made more than six months after the publication date. However, members may be able to purchase claimed issues from NAEA at the single copy rate, if issues are available. For pricing inquiries, please e-mail subscriptions@arteducators.org
Replacements based on an item received in damaged condition may be requested within the six-month delivery date—up to one hard-copy replacement per year, if available.
Digital replacements will be supplied to subscribers when no confirmation from the United States Postal Service (USPS) exists that confirms the returned mailing.
