The National Art Education Association (NAEA) is saddened and outraged at the school shooting that took place in Uvalde, Texas, earlier this week. Our deepest sympathies go out to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives. Schools are places of learning, growth, and joy—and tragedies like these cast a long shadow over the lives of our learners and educators. With this in mind, we recognize the extraordinary efforts that educators will undertake in these next weeks and beyond for all learners in their care, and NAEA endeavors to provide support to our community in this monumental task. The resources, below, are from NAEA and external sources. We hope that they help provide strategies and suggestions for care of both educators and learners alike. We hold all of you in our hearts.
