National Art Honor Societies

NAHS News is a semi-yearly, full-color, electronic newsletter. Issues feature reports and photos from chapters across the country, student artwork, award winners, and general program information. Circulation reaches over 58,000+ students and 3,500 art teachers in 2,000+ student chapters.
All NAHS and NJAHS chapters are encouraged to submit a chapter report, photos of chapters in action, and images of artwork for inclusion. Need an idea of what to submit or want to see the creative things that other chapters have done over the years? Access NAHS News archives here.
Winter issue: November 1, 2017 (issue published in January)
Spring issue: March 1, 2018 (issue published in May)
Our easy-to-use new online submission process will be available this fall! Check back here for updates.
We encourage chapters to include the 3 sections below with their online submission.
Chapter Report: Shout it from the rooftops! Tell the world what your chapter’s been up to (just be sure to keep it under 400 words). Highlight student achievements, community service initiatives, chapter successes, field trips, projects, and everything else your chapter is doing.
Chapter Photos: Get creative! Choose up to 2 photos to be published along with your chapter report. Remember, chapter photos represent your chapter members and activities. The possibilities are endless! Photos could include chapter meetings, group photos, field trips, fundraisers, induction ceremonies, special accomplishments, or other successes achieved by NAHS or NJAHS students and sponsors.
Student Artwork: If you’ve got it, flaunt it! Select up to 5 images of student artwork to be published in the artwork gallery section. Student artwork images should depict artwork only (sorry, that means images containing persons or items other than artwork cannot be published in the artwork gallery section).
Did you know: NAEA uses student artwork images on the NAEA website and in NAEA publications? This means and even greater opportunity for national exposure of outstanding student artwork.
NAEA reserves the right to use NAHS News submissions in NAEA and NAHS/NJAHS publications and promotions. By submitting artwork, articles, and chapter photographs, you give NAEA permission to publish this media nationally.
