NAEA Awards Program

Rising Star Secondary Recognition Program
Calling all high school juniors and seniors! This award program promotes art education as a career by recognizing up to 50 talented, active NAHS members each year.

Outstanding National Art Honor Society Sponsor Award
Do you know of an NAHS sponsor who goes above and beyond? This award recognizes the dedication of an NAEA member who sponsors an outstanding NAHS Chapter.

Outstanding National Junior Art Honor Society Sponsor Award
Do you know of an NJAHS sponsor who really takes the program up a notch? This award recognizes the dedication of an NAEA member who sponsors an outstanding NJAHS Chapter.

Charles M. Robertson Memorial Scholarship
This four-year partial scholarship to the Pratt School of Art & Design in Brooklyn, New York, recognizes brilliance in student art achievement and artistic involvement at the high school level.

Columbus College of Art and Design
CCAD offers scholarships to National Art Honor Society certificate holders who submit copies of their certificates to the college. For more information and deadlines, visit

  • Certificate holders are eligible for $4,000 tuition scholarships ($1,000 per year for four years).
  • National Art Honor Society-related scholarships are coordinated with other financial aid awards.

The Art Institutes
High school seniors graduating in 2020 who also belong to the National Art Honor Society may apply for The Art Institutes National Art Honor Society Scholarship. Details and an application form may be obtained at the web address below, or by contacting Greta Beller at Tuition scholarships for first-, second-, and third-place awards may be applied at The Art Institutes school of recipient’s choice.

Scholarship Awards
First place: $20,000 tuition scholarship
Second place: $10,000 tuition scholarship
Third place: $5,000 tuition scholarship


Maryland Institute College of Art
Fifty $4,000 to $8,000 merit-based scholarships allocated over four years are awarded each year to high school seniors who are members of the National Art Honor Society. You must be accepted for admission to MICA in order to receive a scholarship/award.
