Design Issues Group (DIG)–Established 2001
Purpose: To integrate design education into the educational curricula through art education programs.
Design education addresses the four categories of design: environmental, object, communication, and experiential plus includes the design process of problem solving. The Design Issues Group seeks to provide an exchange of ideas, activities, resources, and programs in how to educate about the designed world to current and future art teachers and their K-12 students. In doing this most effectively, we plan to build partnerships with design and architecture organizations.
